"FOR I KNOW THE PLANS THAT I HAVE FOR YOU" — JER. 2:11

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church was organized on May 25, 1965, with the Reverend George W.
Hampton Sr, as Pastor and Founder.  The church began in the home of Mrs. Eleanor Cox at 752
Dixwell Avenue, here in New Haven, CT.  The church was later named "Shiloh Missionary Baptist
Church."

The grand opening service was held on the second Sunday in June at 220 Bassett Street in New
Haven.  God continued to bless Shiloh and on November 3, 1968, we marched from 220 Bassett
Street to our current location 100 Lawrence Street.  Shortly thereafter, we became "Shiloh
Missionary Baptist Church."

On November 4, 1984, the burning of the mortgage took place after nineteen years.  The guest
Preacher was Reverend Herman Epps of Union Temple Free Will Baptist Church, Platt Street,
New Haven.  Over the years, God has called some of our member's home but they will continue
to live in our history and in our hearts.  History could not have been made without them here at
Shiloh.

There have been numerous organizations formed during the past 40 years.  You can look around
and see that God has tremendously blessed us through the years.  We have a great leader who is
truly a strong man of God.  With the passing of our founder the Reverend George W. Hampton,
Sr., June 2000, the church unanimously voted to make our Assistant Pastor, Reverend Kennedy
Hampton, Sr., our new Pastor.  He was installed on September 10, 2000.

On June 2014, Pastor became a member of the Department of Christian Service and Witness for ABCONN (American Baptist Churches of Connecticut).
